Southgate is proud to announce it had two student winners featured at the 2015 New York State Association for Reduction, Reuse and Recycling (NYSAR) annual conference in Cooperstown, N.Y. Mary Kate Sullenberger and Eva Hymes were honored at the conference for posters they created, and both presented a short speech on their view of the importance of recycling. Mary Kate and Eva’s artwork will appear in the 2016 NYRecycles! New York State Department of Environmental Conservation calendar.

This year, NYSAR’s conference theme focused on the strengths of collaborating at a regional level and incorporating presentations, lessons and best practices from neighboring states and across the Northeast region into community members’ homes and businesses.
