Dear Faculty and Staff,
It is hard to believe that we have come to the
end of the 2010-2011 school year. While the challenges have been
substantial, I believe that we have more than weathered them well
and moved forward. Our students achieved great success in the
classroom, in the performing and visual arts and in athletics.
Teachers taught with passion and worked with a singular commitment
to ensuring student growth and achievement. Supported by a dedicated
and talented administrative staff, they improved their craft through
continuous learning and professional development. Likewise, our
support staff dedicated the year to providing a clean, safe and
welcoming physical environment where teaching and learning
prospered. Students were transported safely to school through
efforts of our drivers and mechanics. Nutritious meals were served
so that students could focus on their studies. Our clerical staff
provided excellent support for the daily operations of an extensive
and complex organization.
Clearly, in North Colonie, the collective
goodwill, hard work and talents of all of you contributed to an
outstanding year. Our business is to develop knowledgeable, lifelong
learners of high character, strong work ethic and compassion for
others. Each of you contributed so meaningfully to that mission. You
all made my first year as your Superintendent one that I will
remember fondly for all your good work on behalf of our students and
their families.
Enjoy the summer. I'm proud to be your
colleague!
Sincerely,
D. Joseph Corr
