Students in Liz Chlopecki’s 4th grade class share the cards they made for Safyre Terry.

A number of Southgate Elementary classes created cards to send to Safyre Terry, the 8 year-old girl who lost her family and home in a house fire in 2013. The project was organized by fourth grade student, Jack Kraft, who saw Safyre’s story on the news. Jack shared his idea to make cards with his homeroom when the other fourth grade classes presented to each other about the opportunity they had to help another child. Students were thrilled to join Jack in helping Safyre’s holiday wishes come true!
