Library Hours

7:15 a.m. to 3:45 p.m., Monday through Thursday

7:15 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Friday

 

Computers

37 computers are connected to the Internet, with Appleworks 6, Microsoft Word 2003, Excel 2003, and PowerPoint 2003.

 

Research Tools

A large variety of curriculum-related electronic databases are available in the following subject areas: Magazine and Newspaper Databases, Art, Business, Countries, Foreign Language Newspapers, Government, Literature, Science, Social Issues, and History.

 

Collection

We have over 23,000 volumes including reference, non-fiction and fiction, covering all subject areas.

 

Periodicals

We have subscriptions to 80 periodicals and seven newspapers, including online subscriptions to the New York Times and the Economist. Back issues of the New York Times are available on microfilm from 1917-2004.

 

Photocopying is available to students at $.10 per copy.

 

Study room is available to small groups of students (up to six) for group work and projects.

 

Pass System

Ninth- and 10th-graders who would like to use the library during study hall must obtain a pass from library staff before the beginning of their study hall period.


Bus Passes

Bus passes are issued to students who must work on assignments in the library after school. Students who wish to receive a bus pass must arrive in the library by 2:40 p.m. and stay in the library until bus passes are issued at 3:40 p.m.
