SHS PTSA Flapjack Fundraiser at Applebee's

Applebee's at 555 Troy-Schenectady Road in Latham is holding a "Flapjack Fundraiser" for Shaker High School PTSA on Sunday, May 26 from 8 a.m. until 10 a.m. Cost is $5 per person for pancakes, bacon, juice and coffee. Shaker students will assist with cooking, serving and handing out American flags. Please reserve tickets in advance. PTSA End of Year Celebration Information

The goal of these celebrations is to provide supervised alcohol/drug- free celebrations for our students. Juniors/Seniors and their dates will be encouraged to attend their after Prom event at the Latham 76 Diner. As a school family, we want to avoid any tragic loss that our community has experienced in the past. Student need not attend the prom to attend the After- prom activity. The events are offered to our students free of charge with your generosity. Therefore, we need your help! To defray the cost of these events we encourage you to join with other local merchants, Professionals, civic organizations and religious leaders and donate a gift, gift certificate or make a monetary donation. No donation is too small. It is important that we are able to continue to offer these events to our students in order to help us keep them safe. The North Colonie Special Education PTA was chartered on January 15, 2008, with 31 members. The North Colonie Special Ed PTA is the first of its kind in our region. It serves special education and gifted students in grades preK–12. New members are welcome to join by attending upcoming meetings or by contacting the president.
