During Memorial Day weekend, the Shaker High School Marching Band and Color Guard performed in the Walt Disney World Epcot Theme Park in Orlando, Florida. 57 students traveled to Florida to participate in the event, under the direction of Patrick Lorini, Kim Lorini, and Jennifer Carraher.

Continuing a tradition started in 1999, this is the ninth consecutive time the band has been accepted to perform at Walt Disney World. An application, including video footage of recent performances by the band, was submitted as an audition.

“The students gave a fabulous performance and represented Shaker High School and the North Colonie Central School District in a manner of which we all can be proud,” said Patrick Lorini, director of the Shaker High School Marching Band. “We are extremely proud of the group for this outstanding accomplishment.”
