Ride for Missing Children stops at Forts Ferry

| September 21, 2015

Forts Ferry participated in the “Ride for Missing Children” on Friday, Sept. 18. The school was the second stop for 100 bicycle riders and a police escort from the NYS Police and Colonie Police Department. The riders rode their bicycles 100 miles on that day, starting at the SUNY Albany campus, continuing through Albany and Saratoga counties, and finishing at the NYS Museum in Albany.

The ride is the primary fundraising event for the Mohawk Valley office of the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, serving Central New York. Collection boxes were placed in Forts Ferry classrooms, and $350 in donations were presented to The Ride during their stop at the school.

Thank you to all who participated!
