March 7, 2008 – Citing health reasons, longtime school board member
David P. Rosenthal announced that he was stepping down from his seat
on the North Colonie Board of Education effective April 4, 2008.
“I have always tried to balance my responsibilities and vote for
what is in the best interest of our students, as well as the
taxpayers and residents of the district,”
said Rosenthal in a letter
to the board. “It is very hard to give up something that I have
loved doing for 13 years, and will very much miss.”
Rosenthal was most recently elected to his third five-year term in
office in May 2005.
“David Rosenthal’s many, many contributions to North Colonie and his
incredible dedication have earned him the respect of all of us
here,” said Superintendent Randy Ehrenberg. “We wish him happiness
and good health in the years ahead and we extend our heartfelt
thanks.”
