November 6, 2007 - The North Colonie Friends of Music is sponsoring a faculty music recital on Wednesday evening, Nov. 7, at 7 p.m. in the Shaker Junior High School.

The annual event is free and open to the public. However, donations will be accepted at the door to benefit the John Malthouse Scholarship fund for graduating seniors.

Music supervisor Deborah Keough said the event will offer something for everyone, including classical, jazz and contemporary music. The evening performance will include Mozart's Trio II, Jack Gale's Twelve Jazz Duets, Ferdinando Carulli's Duo in Allegretto, Eugene Bozza's Aria for Alto Saxophone and Piano, and much more.  

"I encourage everyone to come and hear our distinguished faculty perform some beautiful music," Keough said. "It will be a great performance."

While a majority of the musicians are from the North Colonie Central School District, there will also be representatives from the Maplewood, Ballston Spa and Voorheesville school districts. The following faculty members will participate:
