November 30, 2007 - North Colonie Central School District’s Annual
Evaluation Report, representing the district’s internal accounting
of instructional and support programs, is now available online.
The information contained in the document comes from reports
submitted by building principals and department supervisors. Their
examination, analyses and recommendations of each program help lead
the district forward and raise the bar for North Colonie students
and staff.
This year's report provides an overview section that is a generic
description of the philosophy, components and activities that
characterize each academic program. Many of these elements remain
constant over time, and therefore will only require minor revisions
from year to year. Following the overview, assessment data,
highlights and goals for each academic subject are featured.
"The two pillars of strength in our district are our program of
academic excellence and high achievement and our strong, responsible
fiscal management," said Superintendent of Schools Randy A.
Ehrenberg. "These two features of our district account for our
repeated standing as one of the top three districts out of 85 in the
Capital Region as determined annually by the Capital District
Business Review. We remain committed to providing both high
quality comprehensive educational programs and fiscal responsibility
in North Colonie."
Members of the public are encouraged to join the Board of Education
as they discuss the report over the course of three separate
meetings: Monday, Dec. 3, Monday, Dec. 10 and Monday, Jan. 8 at 7:30
p.m. in the Shaker High School Conference Room.
