Loudonville Elementary donated over 1500 new
and gently used books to the Schoharie Elementary School.
Schoharie is an area that had severe storm
damage from Hurricane Irene.
For several years now, Loudonville School has
collected and donated new and gently used books to children
throughout the Capital Region and chose Schoharie Elementary to
receive the books this year. Third grade teachers, Donna
Chittenden and Erin Yerdon organized this year’s book drive. Mrs.
Chittenden delivered the books to the school. The books consisted
of fiction, non-fiction and learn-to-read, as well as reference
books for all grades.
A special thank you to all who donated.
