Third graders ask that you save your empty juice pouches

Posted October 4, 2011

The 3rd graders in our school are teaming up to help raise money for future Community Service Projects and Donations for Charity. We are hoping you can help in this one simple, but important way.

Here’s how you can help:

1. Purchase your lunch/snack drinks in a recyclable drink pouch.

2. Remove the straw and bring the empty drink pouches to school.

3. Place your drink pouches in one of the school’s collection bins. Collection bins will be located in the cafeteria and the main lobby.

Please remember to rinse and flatten your juice pouches before dropping them off in the collection bin.

Where do our empty pouches go? We will mail them back for free to TerraCycle, a company that turns them into cool bags and pencil cases for kids and adults. Terracycle will give us $.02 for every drink pouch we turn in. The money earned will be used toward community service projects and donations for charity.

Through these projects, we will give back to others and do our best to help make a difference...one pouch at a time!
