Former SHS student Greg Schneiter is
heading to London in August to participate in the Junior
World Championships. |
Former Shaker High School student Greg
Schneiter has been named to the United States Junior Men's
National Crew Team. The Junior World Championships will be
held the first week in August in Eton Dorney, Great Britain.
Schneiter, who graduated from SHS in June, has
been away for about a month training and will leave for London later
this month. He will be racing on the same course that will be
used during the 2012 Olympics. Approximately 50 nations will
participate with close to 600 juniors competing.
According to Schneiter's mother, Mrs. Andrea
Schneiter, Greg is thrilled.
"He is so excited to be representing Shaker High
School, Shaker Rowing and the United States," she said.
