The
International Potluck Dinner, which was planned and organized by the
junior high school Foreign Language teachers, was a "delicious"
success!
The event took place on April 7th. Many families
brought generous portions of international foods that represented
their particular culture/heritage. In total, 13 nationalities were
represented with a variety of foods: Pakistan, India, Jamaica,
Puerto Rico, Ireland, Poland, Russia, Colombia, France, Italy,
Germany, Spain and the USA.
Approximately 120 people attended this event and
enjoyed the overwhelming amount of delicious food prepared by
parents, students and foreign language teachers while listening to a
fabulous, lively mix of International music! It was a very happy
gathering for many families, students and friends to mingle, eat and
celebrate different languages and cultures!
Mrs. Holly Blau, Mrs. Melissa Brandt, Mrs.
Jaimie Weiss, Mrs. Kathryn Sheridan, and Ms. Katherine Crosby are to
be recognized for organizing the dinner, while Mrs. Josephine Lanni
and Mrs. Stephanie Majewski should be commended for planning and
coordinating this wonderful event. |
