Shaker High School 2010 honor graduates announced

June 8, 2010 - Shaker High School principal, Mr. Richard Murphy, has announced the names of the students who will graduate from Shaker High School on June 26, 2010 as Honor Graduates. In alphabetical order, they are:

 

Kevin Angstadt is the son of Jim and Cindy Angstadt of Latham. Kevin will attend St. Lawrence University in the fall as a Computer Science and German major.

Prateek Baghel is the son of Ashok and Sunit Baghel of Loudonville. Prateek will attend Yale University in the fall as a Molecular Biology and Economics and Mathematics major.

Melissa Belanger is the daughter of Michael and Renee Belanger of Cohoes. Melissa will attend Northeastern University in the fall as a Physical Therapy major.

Amanda Carney is the daughter of John and Catherine Carney of Latham. Amanda will attend Hobart and William Smith College in the fall as a Math major.

Te-Ching (David) Chen is the son of Maria Chou and Harvey Bowks of Latham. Te-Ching (David) will attend New York University in the fall as a Neural Science major.

Gaby Ciavardoni is the daughter of Kelly and John Ciavardoni of Latham. Gaby will attend Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) in the fall as an Aerospace Engineering major.

Casey Connolly is the daughter of Gerald and Patricia Connolly of Watervliet. Casey will attend the University of Notre Dame in the fall as a Chemistry major.

Zosia Dunn is the daughter of Thomas Dunn and Maitri Blednick of Loudonville. Zosia will attend Georgetown University in the fall as a Government major.

Tami Hartshorn is the daughter of Mr. Edmund and Ms. Alice Hartshorn of Watervliet. Tami will attend Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) in the fall as a Computer Science major.

Christopher Herman is the son of Robert and Eileen Herman of Watervliet. Christopher will attend North Carolina State University in the fall as an Engineering major.

Patricia Kim is the daughter of Young and Sung Kim of Latham. Patricia will attend Cornell University in the fall as a Pre-med major.

Soowan Kim is the daughter of Sun Hwa Lee and Chu Ho Kim of Latham. Soowan will attend the University of Chicago in the fall as an Undeclared major.

Gregory Koski is the son of Andrew and Virginia Koski of Loudonville. Gregory will attend Columbia University in the fall as a Creative Writing major.

Diana Lee is the daughter of Daniel and Josephine Lee of Loudonville. Diana will attend Bowdoin College in the fall as a History major.

Zhaokun Ma is the son of Zhuo and Zhenhong Ma of Latham. Zhaokun will attend Columbia University in the fall as a Computer Science major.

Adam Parower is the son of Glenn and Diane Parower of Latham. Adam will attend Harvey Mudd College in the fall as an Engineering major.

Doris Pu is the daughter of Steven and Ruby Pu of Cohoes. Doris will attend Dartmouth College in the fall as a Neuroscience major.

Adam Shamlian is the son of Craig and Karin Shamlian of Latham. Adam will attend the University of Chicago in the fall as a Chemistry major.

Kaylee Steck is the daughter of Jamie and David Steck of Loudonville. Kaylee will attend the University of Chicago in the fall as a Near Eastern Studies major.

Tony Sun is the son of James and Cindy Sun of Watervliet. Tony will attend Washington University in St. Louis in the fall as a Pre-med major.

Devin Toth is the son of Nelson Toth and Kiki Garg of Latham. Devin will attend the University at Buffalo, The State University of New York in the fall as a Computer Engineering major.

Irene Van Ryn is the daughter of Leonard Van Ryn and Rita Pickett of Cohoes. Irene will attend Washington University in St. Louis in the fall as a Business major.
