April 2010 - 20 eighth grade students
volunteered to take the National French Exam on Thursday,
March 18th, from 2:30-3:30 after school. This contest is
sponsored by the American Association of Teachers of French.
These French students competed against 2,400 others in the
Hudson Valley Chapter, which spans from Rockland County to
Lake George, and nationally against more than 98,000
students. All 20 Shaker Junior High participants ranked in
the top 25th percentile regionally (Hudson Valley Chapter).

The aforementioned students will receive special recognition
and awards / certificates at a ceremony to be held at Union
College on Friday, June 4th. This event is sponsored by the
AATF, and represents the entire Hudson Valley Chapter.
