May 25, 2010 - Seventy Spanish students from Shaker High School participated in the 2010 National Spanish Exam sponsored by the American Association of Teachers of Spanish and Portuguese. Shaker High School students earned four gold, four silver and two bronze medals along with twenty honor levels.

“Attaining a medal or level of honor for any student on the National Spanish Examination is very prestigious,” National Director of the Exams Kevin Cessna-Buscemi said. “The exams are the largest of their kind in the United States with 125,915 students participating in 2010.”
