Natalie Kinsey-Warnock and her dog, Skye

May 4, 2010 - Author Natalie Kinsey-Warnock will be visiting on Tuesday, May 25. The focus of Ms. Kinsey- Warnock’s school presentations are to show how many of her stories are based on her life and her true family stories and to encourage students to explore the stories in their families. She will discuss various ways of uncovering family stories and how they might be used in students' writing.

Ms. Kinsey-Warnock will share how her grandmother was the inspiration for her first book and show about ten quilts that she designed and her grandmother made, including the real Canada geese quilt. She also shows several slides of her home in Vermont and the animals she has rescued. She also demonstrates the book process, from the writing through the illustrations to the finished book.
