L to R: Mr. Dave Arnone,
Career and Technical Education Supervisor, Mr. D. Joseph
Corr, Assistant Superintendent of Instruction, Mr.
Robert Holtz, Mr. Richard Murphy and Judge Peter
Crummey. |
April 27, 2010 - Judge Peter Crummey often
visits classrooms at North Colonie to talk to students about
government. On April 26, Judge Crummey stopped by Shaker
High School to award business teacher Mr. Robert Holtz with
an honorary gavel for bringing knowledge of the court system
to his students.
Judge Crummey, who was a student of Mr. Holtz’ at one time,
and who made the presentation, recalled fondly his
experiences as his student in his presentation to Mr. Holtz
and his students.
“Mr. Holtz is a dynamic business teacher who comes to school
each day with the same enthusiasm he has had for over 30
years as a teacher,” Shaker High School principal Mr.
Richard Murphy said. “He provides incredible instruction and
a lasting impression upon his students. I cannot think of a
more deserving teacher given his commitment to his students
over the years.”
Congratulations Mr. Holtz!
