February 26, 2010 - Shauna Stack, a junior, who was one of three finalists at the SHS Poetry Out Loud competition in January, came in second at the Regional Competition on February 22. She will go on to represent Shaker High School at the State Finals on Saturday, March 6.
 

Junior Kelly Hoffman came in first at the Shaker High School Annual Shakespeare Competition. Her winning monologue was a portrayal of Constance from Shakespeare’s play King John. She will go on to represent the school at the English Speaking Union's National High School Shakespeare Competition— Albany Area Branch-regional round being held on Sunday, February 28. Tied for second place were Sonal Rastogi, a sophomore, and Julie Smith, a junior.
