February 3, 2010 - Throughout the week of
February 8, students and staff at Maplewood Elementary will
get the opportunity to play dress-up for a good cause. The
school is participating in Dress up for Haiti Week, a
week-long effort to raise funds for earthquake victims in
Haiti.
Each day, staff and students donated
$.50 to participate in hat day, sunglasses day, mismatch day,
sport shirt day and crazy hair day.
"Our students at Maplewood have shown their
kindness and compassion throughout the year," Maplewood
Principal, Jerry Steele said. "I knew that their efforts on
behalf of Haiti would be no different."
Here are a few pictures from "Sunglasses
Day". Check back soon for more images from the week.
