October 19, 2009 - The 2009 annual Elementary Cross Country Meet was held on Wednesday, October 16, at the Town of Colonie Park. Approximately 500 fourth, fifth and sixth graders, representing all seven elementary schools ran in the event. The race is conducted as part of North Colonie’s district-wide initiative of promoting physical fitness and lifetime sports.

Medals, ribbons and congratulations will be given out at each of the schools to all participants. Special thanks to Coach Springstead, Coach Gansle and the members of the Shaker Boys and Girls Cross Country Teams for assisting in the event. The North Colonie physical education teachers and all participants should all be commended for their efforts in making this such a great event!
