October 8, 2009 - Dubbed as “America’s Most Popular School Assembly”, The Ned Show came to Southgate elementary on Tuesday. The NED Show promotes academic achievement and character development by teaching three critical skills that will benefit kids for a lifetime:

Never Give Up
Encourage Others
Do Your Best

While the N.E.D. components are the core of the program, the show adapted to reinforce the themes that Southgate emphasizes.

“The NED Show was certainly enjoyed by all,” Southgate Principal, Jerri Lynne Dedrick said. “Beyond being fun, it was an excellent opportunity to reinforce with students our goals for them - Never give up and know you can accomplish anything you set your mind to, encourage others as we are a community and do your best at all times and in all that they do.”
