Story Submitted by Ms. Kerry Flynn,
Principal of Loudonville Elementary School
October 7, 2009 - Loudonville School was
honored to host educators from the Shanghai World Foreign
Language Primary School in China. Our guests are here in the
United States as part of an exchange with the Greater
Capital Region Teacher Center organized by Rosemary Harrigan.
Our guests enjoyed their visit to Mrs. Edmunds second grade
and Mrs. Chittenden’s third grade classroom to observe our
differentiated approach to literacy. While they teach at one
of the highest ranking elementary schools in Shanghai, they
are interested in developing higher level critical thinking
skills and fostering creativity in their students. We were
happy to be a part of this exchange.
