July
14, 2009 - The students in Mrs. Mahan's A.M. Kindergarten class
recently received the opportunity to conduct research projects
on a topic of their choosing. The entire project took nearly two
months, but the results were simply fascinating.
Jeremy Wernick (left) decided to research
roller coasters, and even brought in a track to help illustrate
his points. Fellow classmate Isabella Tronco (right) focused on
fashion and how to design your own dress. The class worked on
their projects at home and presented them to their classmates at
the end of the school year.
The purpose of these projects was to teach
research skills and to challenge the students. It also was to
encourage further knowledge in areas that interest them.
