March 5, 2009 - Forts Ferry Elementary School bought a new aquarium with money it received through an ExxonMobil Educational Alliance Grant.

The aquarium was put in the library for everyone to enjoy, and students can be seen crowding around it when they visit the library. Last fall, Forts Ferry recently received a $500 ExxonMobil Education Alliance grant thanks to the efforts of Steven Bouteiller, manager of Mobil on the Run store at 902 Loudon Road in Latham. Funded by the Exxon Mobil Corporation, the Educational Alliance program is designed to provide Mobil retailers with an opportunity to invest in the future of their community through educational grants to neighborhood schools.
