Above are the North Colonie students who were chosen to perform on the Suburban Council's orchestra.

February 5, 2009 - Forty North Colonie students participated in the Suburban Council Music Festival, held last month at Ballston Spa High School.

The North Colonie students were chosen from a pool of more than 730 applicants from 13 area school districts. The Music Festival featured a middle school band, chorus and orchestra and a high school jazz ensemble. Shaker Junior High School hosted auditions for the festival in November, when a panel of 40 teacher from around the Capital Region, including 15 from North Colonie, helped select the students.
