Girls tennis doubles team headed to state tournament

 

October 31, 2008 - Shaker High School's varsity girls tennis doubles team is headed to the state championship tournament in Syracuse.

Sophomore Alie Coyle and freshman Cat Crummy finished second in the Section II Tennis Tournament, earning a birth in the New York State Public High School Athletic Association Tennis Championships, which will be held held in Syracuse, November 7-9.

This is Cat's second trip to the state championship. During the regular season Cat played number 1 singles, while Ali played number 3 for the Blue Bison. Sophomores Elena Wolner and Brennan Austin-Peters finished in fourth place in the Section II Tournament.
