Nicholas Verdile |
June 17, 2008 - At its meeting on May 19, the North Colonie Board of
Education appointed Nicholas Verdile to the position of math
supervisor. He will begin his new duties on July 1.
“I am excited
and eager to continue my educational career leading the district’s
math department,” said Verdile.
“It is such a pleasure to work with
dedicated faculty, staff and students, who are excited about
teaching and learning.”
Since 2005, Verdile has been the administrative dean of the high
school. Prior to that, he served as an administrative intern for the
math supervisor and high school assistant principal.
Before joining North Colonie, he was a math teacher at Kennedy High
School in Bellmore, NY and Lynbrook High School in Lynnbrook, NY.
Verdile earned his bachelor’s degree in mathematics from Hofstra
University before earning his master’s degree in instructional
technology from the New York State Institute of Technology and his
license in educational administration from Massachusetts College of
Liberal Arts.
Verdile will succeed Harriet Greenberg upon her retirement at the
end of the school year after 8 years as supervisor.
