The North Colonie Central School District held its fifth annual Veterans Day Celebration on Nov. 8. Keynote speaker Colonel Kevin R. Moore, Commander of the Watervliet Arsenal (pictured), spoke about the impact of veterans within our local community.

Other speakers included: Social Studies Teacher and Veterans Day Celebration Coordinator Daniel Weaver, Superintendent Randy Ehrenberg, Town Supervisor Mary E. Brizzell and Assistant Superintendent Joseph Corr. Special thanks to the SHS Chamber Players, the SHS Vocal Ensemble and the Siena College Army ROTC.

Every veteran in attendance stood up to be recognized. "Thank you to the ordinary individuals who do extraordinary things in the defense of freedom," said Assistant Superintendent Joseph Corr.
