September 2006 - This past summer was an exciting one for the
physics department. A new computer laboratory featuring Dell
computers has been installed. These computers represent a
significant upgrade from our previous computers and will allow
physics students to collect, interpret and draw conclusions from
our lab equipment more efficiently. Just over 50 percent of our
physics laboratories are computer-based using PASCO interfaces
and data collection software. The interface and software
combination allows students to use a variety of different force
and optical sensors to gather and examine physical data.
