At its regular board meeting on Monday, Oct. 23, the North Colonie Board of Education nominated Superintendent Randy Ehrenberg as the 2007 National Superintendent of the Year. The Board presented Ehrenberg with a plaque to recognize her work as Superintendent. “I am humbled and delighted,” said Ehrenberg. “I am already honored just to be nominated.” 

The Board of Education submitted their nomination to the American Association of School Administrators, and Mrs. Ehrenberg submitted required essays and letters of recommendation in September. Results will be forthcoming in a few months.

In addition, the North Colonie Board of Education members were recognized by Governor George E. Pataki for their service and contribution to the district, during “School Board Recognition Week,” which runs from Oct. 23-27.
