Four Shaker High School students showcased their math talents when
they scored high (5 or 6 points out of 6) in the NYS Math League contests.
There are six contests held throughout the school year, and they are
open to any student who is taking a math course. Each contest
requires excellent problem-solving skills, a strong background of
algebra, and intuitive thinking skills.
This year the contests were held on Oct. 24, Nov. 28, Jan. 9, Feb.
13, March 13 and April 3. The testing dates are posted every year in
math classrooms.
