What’s Happening in the Library?
This year students at Maplewood are participating in the 3
Apples Book Award program.
In October all students nominated their favorite book to receive
the New York
State 3 Apples Book Award. Nominations from across New York
State are now being
tallied and a ballot of the top 15 nominations will soon be
available to our students.
Students must read at least three books on the ballot to be
eligible to vote for their favorite
book in April. The ballots with the reading lists will be
distributed in Library
class soon. For more information please visit
www.3applesbookaward.org
Maplewood Library recently started using an automated library
circulation
system. Students now check their books in and out using the
computer and the Library Catalog is now online. Students are
learning
to use the catalog in library class.
