After a schoolwide competition among 50 students, six finalists advanced to the Shaker Junior High School Geography Bee. Superintendent Corr moderated the event, which involved high-level questions pertaining to national and international geography. Congratulations to the 2016 champion, Shashank Garg, on his hard-earned victory.

Garg will move on to the NYS qualifier round┬áto try to earn one of the 100 spots in the NYS geographic bee┬ácompetition. Garg is a 7th grade student in Mr. Wallingford’s class.
