On October 2, The North Colonie/Shaker
Community School Foundation hosted a community-wide picnic to raise
money and awareness to benefit North Colonie students. The picnic was

About the foundation
The North Colonie/Shaker community School
foundation has been established to support the educational
mission of the North Colonie Central School District. The goal
of the Foundation is to enrich the overall educational process
that traditionally are not or would not be financed through
local tax dollars or other public resources provided by the
annual school budget.
The North Colonie/Shaker Community Foundation,
established in 2001, is working to garner private donations to
supplement district educational priorities

When I make a donation...
Q: Where does my money go?
A: Your money will be going to a general fund to
be used to support innovative and sustainable educational programs
and projects.
Q: Is my donation tax deductible?
A: You will, by the design of the foundation,
receive the maximum tax advantage possible.
Q: How will my donation be acknowledged?
A: Your desire for privacy or anonymity will be
honored. Unless anonymity is requested, donors contributing $500 or
more will be recognized as members of the Foundation’s Bison Society
and will be acknowledged publically.

the Capital Region Inc., is managed by a local Board of Trustees
composed of alumni, community members, staff and student
representatives. All trustees
serve without compensation.
