Non-Instructional Positions

 

Information and possible openings for the following positions: clerical, teacher aide, school monitor, food service helper, mechanics, custodians, and other specialized positions will be posted below. Application procedures are listed below the open positions.

 

Lock Changer

Location: Shaker Junior High School

Effective Date(s): June 22 - September 6, 2012

Minimum Qualifications: Must have experience and knowledge about changing locker combinations.

Hrs./Wk: Varies

Salary: S11.28/hour

Comments: Changing locker combinations and cleaning lockers. (Non-competitive)

Opening in Payroll Office- Specific Title to be Determined

Location: Central Office

Effective Date(s): June 19, 2012

Minimum Qualifications: Please apply if you have current certification from Albany County Civil Service as a Payroll Clerk, Clerk II (Payroll), Account Clerk II, Personnel Assistant I, Personnel Assistant II or an equivalent title responsible for payroll processing.

Experience processing payroll for large organization (school district preferred), detail oriented, ability to conduct payroll calculation procedures and time keeping tasks, tact and courtesy, good judgment, ability to operate a PC to process, record and store payroll data, integrity, ability to work in a fast paced environment.

Hrs./Wk: 37.5

Salary: Per CSEA non-instructional contract.

Comments: 12 month position (Competitive)

Open-Ended Job Postings:

Applications are always accepted for the following part-time and substitute positions. When an opening occurs, applications will be forwarded to the hiring supervisor for review.

Bus Driver – Requires high school diploma or equivalent and CDL B Driver License with P and S endorsements.

Bus Aide – Requires NYS Dept of Education Bus Aide Pre-Service course (provided by district).

Food Service Helper –Requires high school diploma or equivalent. Cashier experience helpful.

Cleaner – Requires high school diploma or equivalent and previous work experience doing cleaning. Works individually and as part of a team.

Noon/Lunch Aide – Requires high school diploma or equivalent. Establishes good rapport with students.

Clerk/Typist – Requires high school diploma or equivalent and good computer skills. Previous experience doing clerical work preferred. Substitute position, filling in as needed.

 

School Nurse – RN certification required
