Vote At-a-Glance

Voter Eligibility

By law, all voters must be U.S. citizens, age 18 or older and residents of the North Colonie Central School District  (or the former Maplewood school district) for at least 30 days prior to the vote. Proof of residency, such as a driver's license, may be required at the time you vote.

Voter Information

School budget votes and Board of Education elections will be held this year on May 17, 2011.

Polling Places

Residents should vote in the elementary school in their neighborhood, from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. If you have a question regarding your polling place, please call the district office at 785-8591.

Absentee Ballots Are Available

Residents who will be out of town or unable to vote in person due to illness or disability can vote by absentee ballot. YOU MUST FIRST COMPLETE AN APPLICATION TO RECEIVE AN ABSENTEE BALLOT.

  • View and print a copy of the application [PDF]

  • Pick one up at the District Office at 91 Fiddlers Lane between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. weekdays

  • Call the District office at (518) 785-8591 to have one mailed to you.

If you want an absentee ballot mailed to you, your application must be received by the District Clerk’s office at least one week before the vote date. If you plan to pick up your ballot, your application must be received by the day before the vote, May 16, 2011.

 

Completed absentee ballots must be received the District Clerk’s Office by 4 p.m. on the day of the vote, May 17, 2011.
