Former Shaker pitcher Tommy Kahnle taken by Yankees in MLB Draft

Shaker High School alum Tommy Kahnle has been selected by the New York Yankees with the final pick of the fifth round, the 175th overall choice, in the 2010 MLB Draft. Kahnle, a pitcher, was two-year letter-winner at Shaker High School. He graduated in 2008. » READ MORE

North Colonie athletes shine on field and in classroom

The North Colonie Central School District is pleased to announce that every spring sport team qualified for the New York State Scholar Athlete Team Award. This award goes to teams who have a 90 or above average. All the athletes on the team with a 90 or above average receive a pin from the New York State Public High School Athletic Association. » READ MORE

Officials can submit for retroactive payment by going to www.section2athletics.org downloading the universal voucher, complete the voucher and submit to Shaker High School Athletic Office prior to May 21st, 2010.
