A final report was made available to both Boards of Education in April.

After the final report was completed, public forums were held in both districts and a non-binding straw poll was conducted in May on the same day of the budget vote. A binding referendum will be held on October 11, 2007. If the annexation is approved by both districts in the October referendum, and by the State Education Department, then the effective date of the annexation would be on July 1, 2008.
