A Feasibility Study Committee, made up of 26 members representing both school districts, which included students, teachers, local businesses, non-instructional staff, residents and senior citizens, was organized in November 2006 to thoroughly examine all aspects of reorganizing Maplewood and North Colonie schools through the process of annexation.

Members of both schools Board of Education and the Superintendents and Assistant Superintendents also served as ex officio members.
