Residents to vote
on proposed budget May 20
On Tuesday, May 20, from 9 a.m. to
9 p.m. residents of the North Colonie and Maplewood school
districts will go to the polls to decide on an $88,439,000
proposed budget. If approved, it would result in an estimated
residential tax rate increase of 3.76 percent—the smallest
proposed increase in a decade. Voters will also elect three
candidates to the Board of Education. For more information,

We are preparing to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Shaker High
School in 2008-2009. One plan is to honor outstanding graduates from
